Hi everyone.
I'm finally going to start a patreon campaign.
But before I do that, I'd like to ask you a question concerning my goals and rewards.
For now I set only one goal, that would be 200$. At that point I would remove the linkbucks intermissions and replace the links with direct links.
Reward for
2 $ would be access to the latest gif pack. As some of you already know. The gif pack is a collection of animation tests in gif form and some other stuff I produced while working in Invasion D.
7 $ gets you the gifpack and Donor Code to unlock the Donor Content in the game.
12 $ would get you all of the above plus early access, meaning you can play the newest releases 2 weeks in advance.
Why the funny numbers? Because I'm calculation in € and 7 $ is about 5 € something.
Those of you, who already donated, will get the next gifpack and the code nonetheless. (in fact, you already have the code).
But it would still be fantastic I you would support me via patreon from now on.
I'd like to hear your input on that matter, if you have suggestions, please post them in the comments.

hmm not bad but when would you charge after each month, after each game release?
ReplyDeletebecause if it is each month you are charging way too much for the early releases, if it is each game release then is not that bad
the problem is most people already have an amount the can waste for month so if you charge too much for the early release per month it wouldn't be in their budget. if it kis gonna be per month i do suggest going for the 2 dollar reward as the early acess i know it sounds small but just look at breeding season or yummytiger, even tenebrys that his game is not bad but is pretty much a lot of text the reason this guys can reach for the 1000 is because they added a low lvl of money that have something that everyone wants per month or a big lvl for the thing that they want per game release. the only game that have lots of money making and still high as fuck in prices per month is roundscape but it took them at least 2 years to get there because people where interested but didnt wanna risk to pay that much and the other thing they have is the rewards are pretty good
so what im trying to say as my suggestion either make it smaller per month for the early release or keep the same price per month but give a lot more rewards maybe polls or stuff like that to entertain and keep the people to pay again or make it per game release.

but since my last limit for the gifpack and passwords was 5 Euros for one donation I though 12 per relase for everything was reasonable.
Still have to count for the exchange fees and currency difference. Unless there's a Euro Option somewhere hidden in Patreon that I did not find yet. Still have to get familiar with the whole system.
like i said if it is per game release is fine then but i still would consider adding polls or something else since you can add more in the future (not now start slow for now maybe make it one of the future goals to open pools)

Another idea I had was making smaller releases with new sidequests exclusive for the time until a full chapter is released.

the idea is good and you can even combine the poll with the mini sidequest but as i said i do believe this sound like a lot of work so you can always add this options later or if you feel wouldn't be that much pressure do it at the start.
