Bugfix Update 0.4.5g

This is mostly a bugfix Update.
It was necessary because my dev version has progressed too far to patch the old version. (new graphics, new sounds etc.).

You won't notice much of a difference if at all compared to the old version.

What you might notice are the 3 new Bonus Pictures total of 17 now).

Update 0.4.5 (and patch 0.4.5B! Because I'm a Mega-Idiot... again...)

Finally!
Here's the new update!

This Update adds a new sidequest for Noja on the Southern Islands.
Of course, to play it, you need Noja in Jeff's Party.



After Jeff met Cheeree and agreed to meet her at sundown, return to your bungalow and use the bed. Choose the Option to nap and Noja goes on to solve a mystery...

Yes! Give it to her!
Punishment in 3 - 2 - 1...

3 H-Scenes are unlockable in this Quest, one is Donor exclusive, one is more ecchi and has hidden Donor Content at the end (19 additional pics).

I hope you're not afraid of spiders, Noja...
OK, apparently she LOVES spiders!
What's also new is, that Foo is a full blown thief now. Meaning, she can steal item form enemies and has her own item to learn new skills. The skills revolve mostly around stealing of course.


I'm going to take a few days off now and play other games. The newest Version of Overwhored is still waiting for me. XD
So have fun with the update and please please please do not find too many bugs....

Edit: Just when I thought everything was fine, I forgot to add a battleback to the Lanakwin Prison and a blank page to the Queen Barrel event.... So here comes Patch 0.4.5.b.... :P

Update 0.4.4

This is just a small update.

The update was mostly necessary because I added new graphics and a new script, making future patches difficult.





Detailed changelog:

-fixed a bug that would cause the fire effect in Syras Scenes to persists when viewed from the gallery.
-a couple of Shooga's scenes where not viewable from the gallery or showed the wrong scene - fixed
-on the southern island map a couple of chests were not reachable - fixed.
-The fist fight with Blechsack was changed. The fight is now inevitable and there is no longer a choice. Also the Dialogue was changed and Blechsack is weaker (1500 HP instead of 2000).
-small changes to Steppe map.
-fixed a small bug at the Moosheim Inn upper floor where you could walk through a table.
-Photobook access is now blocked after the Tower Battle to avoid a bug that causes the screen to stay black after leaving the bonus pictures gallery.
-Foo/Jack Blow job Scene was remade. New Scene is Donor exclusive.
-Ban Ban Village Maps have been remade
-Lanakwin Village map remade
-Lanakwin's chamber blocking lights events replaced by picture overlay
-added Yanfly Move Restrict Region v1.03 script
-lots of typo fixes

Update 0.4.3.1

Finally it's here.

This update adds Chapter 6 to Invasion D.

After the events in Fatienobel West, the group splits again.
While Jack and company are going go for the Archive's Vault, Jeff has to find a way to reach the southern islands of Fatienobel.

2 Characters already know from Chapter 5 can join Jeff or Jack, 1 new Character joins Jeff in the South.

The incident at the Asylum has not gone unnoticed, resulting in serious consequences for our friends.
2 characters might not make it through the Chapter, if you do not or did not take the right actions.

So far for the story. What's new in the game?



The most important parts:

Old saves are not compatible, so is probably the global save, because I had to reserve new switches for the new H-Scenes. If you encounter a bug, try to remove the old global save if you imported it and try again. If the bug does not occur again, the global save was probably the problem.

Along with the links to the main files, I provided a blank save. Load it and you will start at the beginning of Chapter 4. You will then be prompted to set up your Level, Money, Alignment and a few other options.

The good/evil has been reworked. Jeff and Jack are no longer dependent on one another in their development. Instead each of the two's alignment depends solely on their own decisions.

All H-Scenes can now be aborted by pressing ESC (might still be buggy, please report problems that you might encounter).

A lot of new maps, most importantly:
-The southern Islands,
-The Showbar/Casino of Sheroot
-Bungalows, Bungalows, Bungalows...
-The Magic Item Shop of Plinpe incl. its basement
-2 Dungeon Levels and a 2 story tower map
-Roha's House has a basement now
-Another secret dungeon underneath Plinpe and a secret place for Roha
-and more...

Aside from the main Questline:
-1 short Side Quest with an unlockable H-Scene
-1 short Puzzle Quest for Donors

 13 (? I lost count...) At least 13 new H-Scenes, 3 of them are remakes of old scenes.
Some longer, some shorter, 3 of them are Donor Exclusive.

-A new funky Outro Sequence.

-New Bonus Pictures.

-I remade a lot of Battlers, like Blechsack and Dyzief.

-The above mentioned Scenes
-A slightly different Outro
-A couple of additional nudie pictures during the game
-Special Resting Spots in certain places with more nudies, varying if Characters are dominated or not
-The ability to unlock all scenes in the Gallery

-unlock a hidden sequence in the unlockable H-Scene during the sidequest if you have Roha and/or Tia in the Party
-Shop in the Plinpe Magic Item Shop and do the basement quest to find a special item

Update 0.4.2.2 released, German Version canceld, Walkthrough updated

Finally a new Update, although it's a short one.
And it's the last Update that's going to be released in German.

It was not an easy decision, but probably the best.


I've been working on this Project over the last 2 years and I can still not see the end.

Since it's a hobby, that I'm doing in my free time, this means I have limited hours in a day to work on it.
I was writing the dialogues in German first and than translated them, had to copy/paste everything into the English version, hunt down all crates with different item names and test the English version everytime I had a new update ready.
All in all I think 25% of the time was just translation related.

Additionally this also slowed me down, because the thought of days(or nights) of pure copy/pasting and dry translation work is not very motivating to be honest.

So I hope by ending the German Version at this point, thing will go a lot faster and smoother from here.

So here's the Update.
It adds a new quest to the game, a whole new area to explore (southern Plinpe) and some other new things.
From the history:

To start the quest you have to finished the Archive quest but not the Asylum for it plays before that and Klara is needed.
I adds a little more depth to Klara's and Jeff's relationship.
To start it just go to the new park in Plinpe and activate the sparkilng spot that apears after the Archive.

Update 0.4.2.1

Update 0.4.2.1 is done and I'm uploading right now.
This Update adds a new bigger Sidequest, accessible once you reached Chapter 5.
You'll meet young "Heroine" Noja and aid her in her Quest to explore the ruins below the Plinpe school, which turns out a little different from what she expected.

Patch 0.4.2b and status

Messed up the last patch...
This patch makes the Harbor Bar Quest available, just talk to the bar tender twice after you found Lanakwin.
It also fixes some typos and untranslated lines and apparently at some point when you enter the dungeon on the desert island north of Fatienobel your boat disappears. this should be fixed, too.

EDIT: The English patch produced an error about graphics missing when entering the tower's second floor.
Reuploaded the patch. It does not have that error anymore.

Small Update.
This patch adds a new side quest.
You can get it from the bartender at the Plinpe Harbor bar.
Also it adds a lamp effect to some of the older dungeons.
The patch has to be copied to the folder "Patches" inside the game main folder.
If it does not exist, create it.

Update 0.4.2 Release

Here are the first links to the new english and german version.
My Upload rate is pretty shitty at the moment (15kB/s), so this is taking forever... 

This Update lets you proceed into the Asylum.

4 new H-Scenes can be unlocked.



Changes:

-english version only: Gameover Screen after Pub fight if Jack has 0 HP after the fight. - fixed
-looka scene triggers in chapter 5. -fixed
-small change to Karls's quest.(pickaxe is now visible even before talking to him)
-dart gun depowered
-removed rouge door in Moosheim Inn
-Forgot to add 1 evil point if you chose to dominate Klara's mother - fixed
-changed alternative outcome requirement for the cabin drinking scene from evil to neutral.
-Additionally you can now choose between the options if your are still good.
-On diciding what to do with Tiassa while she's in the bathtub, there is now 1 evil point added for each red decision instead of just one for the second one.
-in the mine you should no longer be stuck when you leave the map after jack activated the bridge
-after you fled from dyzief's lair shooga and jack sprites should no longer stand around where the portal was when you leave 

  and reenter the fort's 1rst floor.
-First fight against demon Jeff is now harder, so he'll defeat you sooner.
-After you fought Mo and he collapses, the chickens should now disappear and no longer get in your way.
-Talking to the boy at the moosheim inn now requires Jack to be in the party
-After recruiting Roha it should no longer be possible to meet Richard, aside Roha noticing, that he's gone.
-let's all hope and pray that this fucking asrap spawn bug is finally history...
-Girly Dress is no longer visible during battle
-About 2-3 hours additional gameplay

-changed Vampire attack typ from physical to magical to make it more effective
-removed domination indicator switch from Roha harbor rape scene.

-The Lanakwin Jeff scene at the beginning of chapter 5 is supposed to only be triggered if jeff is not evil.
 It was triggered anyway. fixed.
-Something went awry with the whole Lanakwin event, causing jeff to appear outside and other things. fixed
-small bugfix: klaras graphic did not change in the townhall before she lights tha candles.
-removed 1 superfluous untranslated line in the convent durng the initial conversation with the abbess.
-after this conversation BGM would suddenly stop. fixed
-Untranslated line in convent door event translated
-changed asrap nun graphic in the convent
-added memory menu option, yet disabled for this version.

EDIT: I just noticed that I left a cheat inside the german version.
I uploaded a quick patch here that removes it.
I won't tell you how the cheat works, but eventually players will find out.
So if you want to play "fair" copy this patch into the folder "Patches" inside the main game directory. If the Folder does not exist, create it.

Status: Version 0.4.2 German and English ready

It's been a little quiet around here for a while, but don't worry, I was not lazy.





The German Raw Version was done for quite a while and over the last weeks it wast tested intensely.

I finished the English Version today and so far everything's looking good.

This time a had help from User Mickele, who some of you might know from the comments.
He helped me out as a tester and I'd like to send again a big thank you to him. Without him this might have taken another month or even longer to finish. ^^

Update 0.4.1.3c + updated walk through

Another Update, mostly bug fixes again and also some new stuff.
Also the Walkthrough has been updated.

Most importantly new:


The Evil Point System was completely redone. Until now every single bad decisions was counted and I simply divided by 2 to determine whether you get a certain event or not.

Now every blue/red decision is counted and from that an average value is calculated to determine your alignment. So now you can not only be good or evil but also walk a thin neutral ground.
This made is necessary to rework almost all events that depended on the old system, be it just snippets of dialogue, H-Scenes etc.

Also new is that you do not have to Santa anymore every time you want to know your alignment. . Don't worry, he'll sill tell you the number of bad decisions along with the overall decision count, but now you can just look at the character screen to see your current alignment. The gradually changing face of Jack has been replaced with an Aura. Jeff gets his own Aura, too.
This effect is activated after you decided what to do with Shooga in the wold in between. Until then you have the normal Character Portraits without an aura.

Good with blue aura - Bad Jeff with red aura
Evil with red aura - Good Jeff with blue aura
Neutral Jack with green aura - Good Jeff with blue aura

Rule of Thumb here is: A good decision for Jack makes Jeff more evil and vice versa.
Albeit, some decisions that were not colored can change Jeff in one or the other direction, so Jeff does not have to be the exact opposite of Jack.
Because it is not possible to calculate the alignment from old saves, you will be asked whether you want to use a default decision value (13).
It's recommended to do this.
It's a compromise, so you do ot have to play from start again.

Again: To import your unlocked scenes it is necessary to copy the file global.rvdata2 along with your regular save files to the new version.



I tried do approach the old Asrap Bug from a new perspective and added a way to get another costume for him, in case you did not get the first one. If you don't get any of them, he will still have to stay outside.

Another new thing: Dominated Characters are now marked with a small collar symbol. Should make it easier to keep track of that.

Also you can now travel the Fatienobel riverside by boar and I made Roha eat some spinach so she's also rowing faster now.


Other changes:

0.4.1.3c
-English version: Lanakwin castle booze quest, small change in dialogue.
-reworked evil level system, this will get confusing since a new variable is included that counts the total decisions you made and calculates your current alignment.
If you load an old save the game might not give you the right result since old decisions are not counted. so you might have been a good guy but the game will think you are evil as the decision count is zero.
for clearance: decision count is divided by 3.
if your evil level is equal or less than that value your are considered good
if your evil level is equal or greater than twice that value you are evil
if you are in the middle you are neutral.
to make a compromise all decisions up to chapter 5 are added so if you load a save after chapter 4 your decision count will be a default 13.
when you load the game a dialogue will pop up asking you whether you would like to set it to 13.
-dominated characters are now marked with a colar icon
-gamebreaker bug fixed. In some cases it can happen that you get game over when jeff talks to Lanakwin after the beginning of chapter 5. - should no longer happen.
-If you did not get the priestess garment for Asrap, there now another way to get him into places, another costume can be found in one of the Plinpe houses.
-Asrap message when he can not enter a place changed.
-Asrap can't enter event changed since it was really bothering me (and probably you). Separated the event into two events so it should work properly now.
-Additionaly Asrap can get another disguise if you did not get the first one. Along with another small H-Scene.
-some small changes to sprites.
-Evil Level indicators changed. Instead of gradually changing Jacks face, Jack and Jeff now have an red green or blue aura to indicate their alignment.
-Rule by thumb is: Jack does something good, Jeff becomes more evil and vice versa. Some choices, although not marked as good or bad can influence Jeffs development.
-adjusted most evil level dependent lines and conditions to new system
-Coockie recipe can no longer be delivered twice
-Alika side quest changed, Jeff gains a level and learns a new skill in any case.
-In Fatienobel you can now sail under bridges to travel quicker and so you do not have to sail around the coastline every time you want to go somewhere.
-Bombs and Grenades added
-The opening the bug chest in Rohas house will ow lock the door until it's killed.
-added healing fountains to the world in between maps.
-increased boat speed
-some untranslated lines and typos fixed.
-mystic mirror depowered
-changes to graphics, like the new dress for cocki and the map in dongards castle to make them more distinct.
-power up state does now vanish after battle

Update 0.4.1.3b

Mostly bugfixes and some polishing here and there.
The big update to continue the storyline will take a little longer.

Changes:
-tweaked mole burrow visibility a bit
-Lana - Jeff/Asrap conversation cleaned up a bit and reworked.
-missed book text in archive translated
-If you dominated Roha in your dungeon together with Shooga, the game will not recognise her as dominated. - fixed
-The cave on the snake island in Fatienobel West can no longer be entered from sea side.
-Bugfix: When you approach the Asylum guards, don't walk up to them after they talk to you or you will be stuck. Instead walk down. - fixed
-Bugfix Asrap should no longer appear (happens in some cases) and block your actions when you enter or leave a house.
-Looks like that after the fight when you decide not to blackmail the Abbess some sprites can get stuck, causing the game to freeze. -fixed
-English version only: Roha's Portrait change after the domination was bugged. - Fixed.
-Asrap appears after the Looka Scene with Jeff in the Pub, Blocking further event progress - fixed
-2 Pictures of Looka are supposed to be shown when Jeff meets her. Does not happen. - fixed
-Jeff sprite does not undress in said Looka scene - fixed
-Shooga becomes dominated if you watch her dom scene in the gallery even though she was not dominated in the current playthrough - fixed
-Watching the Asrap - Jack - Roah Scene in the Gallery causes a similar issue. The game will think that the scene happened in the current playthrough even though it did not happen. -fixed
-Fatienobel Forrest Dungeon Added
-One additional Sidequest with possible H-Scene added.
-The default Screen Size is now 544*416 again
-Screen Size can now be changed by pressing Q (default) and W (1088*832)

UPDATE 0.4.1.3.a - Now this is the story...

all about how
the last 3 month went upside down
And I'd like to take a minute and sit right there
and explain why the whole damn thing comes a month later.


This rap stops right now!

Yes, I'm latelatelate and it's all because of the move. That's it. Just did not have the time and the energy - oh  - and the internet.
But it's done now. Whoohoo!

And yet it's not completely done.

Why?

Because it's still a pre-up version.
Meaning it's only one half of the 5th chapter.
But it got just too long and I did not want to wait another 3 months to release something.
That also means that it will end rather abrupt. But there's a lot of new stuff to explore giving you about 2 more hours of gameplay.

Details on the changes:

-the usual typo and missed translated lines, still some left and new ones I'm sure. ^^
-Gallery Menu revised
-Santa revised
-Santa Sneaker exploit fixed
-Lanakwins Joy adds a special skill for Mistra and priests
-added animation for chicken down
-you can now bake your own cookies if you have the recipe
-some minor modifications to certain lines
-as well as to some H-Scenes
-lanakwins memories are no longer unlocked
-relocated a couple of cookies
-overall cookie event structure has been revised
-Dialog for dominated Roha on the Island was wrong - fixed.
-triple attack bug. Somehow I did not notice that the triple attack skill hits 3-4 times. That makes up to 12 hits. -fixed
-Fatienobel mine H-event for dominated Shooga and dominated (by Jack) Tiassa: bug after that scene that would freeze the game. -fixed
-If you dominated Roha at the harbor, did not kill Asrap and took the option to let him handle her, Roha will still freak when she sees him leading to make it necessary to capture her. -fixed
-Game over Screen after Jeff, Asprap and Lanakwin fought Dameeter and Jeff members has 0 HP. - fixed
-Equipping Dyziefs Glance no longer locks Jacks other skills
-added global save script
-Game window size is now 1044*832 instead of 544*416
-1 new playable character
-13 new H-Scenes
-changes to sneakers, they weaken you know heavily so do not forget to check you equipment if you can not avoid a fight.
- ~2 hours of additional gameplay more or less depending on your play style. My save game says a total of about 7 1/2 hours.
-new areas to explore
-and other stuff that I probably forgot

One more thing that I'd like to address:

I'm a adding adds to this blog along with this release.
I hope you don't mind that too much, but I'm kind short on money after the move and I could really use that extra income. I don't really like it either because I hate adds.
You can use add blockers if you don't want to make the 3 clicks to skip them, but if you'd like to support me, please, don't.

Pre-up Version probably next week.

I decided to release only the first half of what was planned to be the next update.
But as you know, I'll be moving to a new place soon and I won't have the full version done till then.

Most of the eventing is done, 3 H-Scenes are left to do. Then I'll have to do a quick test run and hopefully the translation will be completed quickly.

There'll be 12 new H-Scenes and 1 new playable character in this version.

I'm aiming for Sunday next week, but please don't be angry if there's another delay.

Update 0.4.1.2b

A couple of bugfixes in this version:

-fixed Fister Bug, he will now respond after the guards chamber decline entry to Ban Ban's chamber. occurred only in the english version
-note: after this, talk to fister right away for it can happen if you leave the map, the column might get stuck if fister gets in its way.
 If this happens, leave the map again and reenter, it should be in its proper place then.
-fixed Bug that had Cocki at Level 99 after Shooga talks Tiassa in to join your party.
-one more cookie relocation
-removed some junk files

Update 0.4.1.2a

So the bug hunt is over for now.
Everybody who reported bugs and supported me in this, thank you very much. :)

So here's what changed:

-another rework to the gallery, now to exit the menu, just press ESC
-fixed some bugs in the gallery menu that gave you the wrong or no scene and removed leftover switches I  
 implemented for testing.
 Those enabled certain scenes that you might not have cleared yet.
 If you still got the save that enabled them, considered it an involuntary Christmas present.
-changed sneakers again, really should be fixed now... (so much logic...)
-change to first Shooga H-Event, giving in to you urges now gives only 1 instead of 2 evil points.
-small adjustments to evil level requirements for certain events
-translated untranslated lines (red tautology alert!)
-fixed foofool jail H-event screen tint bug
-added animation for chicken down
-adjusted locations for some unreachable cookies
-changed initial text for roha's recruiting event on the desert island after you became her new boatsman
-bugfix: after you found Richard and killed Asrap, Roha would not appear at the harbor. she does now.
-fixed cookie bug, you will now actually get EXP if you eat them
-fixed Jeff's jailrape scene
-chicken downs do now actually decrease after you use them
-so do eggs when you deliver them
-fix to others' gallery. the scenes are in the correct order now
-changed HP Regeneration Rate from 10 to 15% and changed duration from 4 to 4-8 rounds
-various typo and grammar corrections (thx again to sadi)
